The P1 children became Winter Investigators this week! Before heading outside, they gathered their essential supplies — clipboards, pencils and their worksheets. Out in the playground, they searched for hidden winter cards, carefully matching the pictures they found to the images on their sheets. Once they made a correct match, they copied the winter word from the card onto their page. Back in the classroom, we completed a whole‑class check to make sure everyone had found all eight winter words and written them beside the correct pictures. It was a fun and active Literacy/WAU lesson, and the children loved every minute of their winter investigation!
