📖 📕 Primary 1 and Primary 7 Paired Reading 📖 📕
Today, our Primary 1 and Primary 7 pupils came together for a wonderful Paired Reading session. The Primary 1 children enthusiastically shared their Sight Words book with their older buddies, showcasing the fantastic progress they have made in their early reading skills. In return, the Primary 7 pupils read engaging storybooks to their younger partners, modelling fluent reading and expressive storytelling.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement, concentration, and smiles as both age groups learned from and supported one another. This collaborative experience not only helped to build reading confidence but also fostered a sense of community, teamwork, and mutual respect across the school.
Our pupils thoroughly enjoyed the session. The activity was both beneficial and enjoyable, highlighting the value of peer learning and the importance of nurturing a love for reading from an early age.
We have created a beautiful wall display featuring photographs and reflections from the session — a lovely reminder of the positive connections and learning moments shared between our youngest and oldest pupils.
