What an incredible success our Eco fashion show was! We were absolutely blessed with beautiful weather, allowing us to take the event outdoors to make the most of the sunshine!
Our playground was transformed into a fantastic runway, complete with a fake green grass catwalk, colourful posters, fun runway footprints and stars embellishing, and of course our eye-catching stop and POSE sign. A special highlight was our Eco Judging Table, decorated with a reused tinsel skirt and homemade glitter scoring panels. Our Eco-Committee judges generously scored each outfit as each model took to the catwalk.
We were so impressed with the effort from all pupils (and staff!) who took part in upcycling their outfits. The creativity on display was outstanding—everyone looked absolutely amazing! Thank you also to our parents for supporting this homework project and for your kind £1 donations for Habitat for Humanity charity who will visit us at school next week.
The pupils had an absolute ball walking the catwalk—there were dance moves, cartwheels, and some very professional poses on show. We may even have some future models in our midst!
After the outdoor fashion show, classes made their way in groups inside and through our reused sparkly curtain into the disco. The children loved showing off their eco outfits while boogieing to the music, before enjoying a drink and a treat. Lunch was then taken ‘al fresco’, making the most of the gorgeous weather.
Following lunch, all pupils received certificates for participation, and one lucky winner from each year group was selected using a random ‘name wheel selector’ to receive a cinema voucher prize.
A huge thank you to our Eco Committee for coming up with the idea and helping with all the preparation—your hard work truly paid off. You spoke with expression, clarity and enthusiasm to introduce each class to the catwalk. Well done!
