P1 pupils have been learning about money and counting 1p coins in school this week. They each had the opportunity to be the shop assistant and the customer in our class shop. When being a customer, children could choose an item from the class shop and count out how many pennies they needed to pay for it. As a shop assistant, children had to recount the money to make sure they weren’t being over or under paid 🤪.
