MHW Days 4&5 - 'Being in the Zone' Through Art and Creativity
Creativity & Connection: Wellbeing and Mental Health Week
As part of our Wellbeing and Mental Health Week, pupils across the school took part in special shared workshops celebrating creativity and connection.
Primary 1 & Primary 7 Buddy Workshop
Our Primary 1 and Primary 7 children came together to listen to a heartwarming story about friendship, which sparked wonderful discussions about kindness, empathy, and understanding others. Following the story, the children collaborated on a shared drawing of a panda. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to work alongside one another, build relationships across different year groups, and express themselves through art. This heartwarming experience truly highlighted the importance of friendship, teamwork and positive.

P3/4 & P5 Dinosaur Art Collaboration
Meanwhile, our P3/4 and P5/6 classes teamed up for a dinosaur-themed art lesson. Following a brilliant tutorial by Sinéad Campbell from the Art & Design Factory, the pupils explored pencil drawing, used oil pastels for bold outlines and finished their masterpieces with vibrant watercolor paints. It was wonderful to see the P5/6 pupils gently guiding and helping their younger peers. You only need to take one look at the finished pieces to see just how inspired they all were!
A Big Thank You to Our PTA!
We extend a huge thank you to our wonderful PTA, whose continuous support funds our access to the Art & Design Factory lessons. Thanks to them, we will continue to get creative and help our boys and girls "Get in the Zone" with further art-inspired activities throughout this year and beyond!
