Book Fair Appreciation & World Book Day
A huge thank you to everyone who came in to browse the book fair and purchase books during this past week. Thanks to your support, over £1800 was just given to teachers to add to their class libraries with brand new materials! Míle buíochas! A huge thank you also to the staff and pupils who ran the book fair, coming in early in the mornings and taking good care of the visitors to the school.
Next up is our ever popular World Book Day fancy dress and non-school uniform day - tomorrow Thursday 5th March. We are strongly encouraging all pupils to dress up as a famous book character and if permitted, even bring along a copy of their favourite book to read in school.
Our school council has agreed to ask for £1 per child for the day so that we can make a donation to a worthy cause that one of our council members has committed to fundraising for. The charity in question is AngelEyesNI and their mission is to bring about equality for children with visual impairment in our local area. Check out their website here - https://www.angeleyesni.org/
Go raibh maith agaibh!
