COUNTY CHAMPIONS!
In what was the culmination of a very busy and hectic few weeks for our P6 and P7 boys last Friday including having their Confirmation Ceremony the night before the county final, our boys' team made their way over to the BoxIt Athletic Grounds for their 3rd County Final in a row.
We faced a very strong and fancied Granemore P.S. team in the final and it was a tight game throughout.
Despite a good start, we were trailing 5-3 at half time and so the boys had it all to do in the second half. Thankfully however, the lads put in what was was undoubtedly their best performance of the year in the second half and at the final whistle we were delighted to have gotten over the line at our third attempt.
Needless to say the ensuing celebrations were a delight see and just rewards for each and every player who played their part throughout the qualifying rounds and whole season to help us get to this final.
When we returned to school we were greeted with a hero's welcome and the celebrations continued well into the afternoon.
As ever, a huge thanks to Mr. Farrell and all at Armagh Cumann na mBunscol for organising such a great event.
And finally, to Barry, Sean, James and all at the Davitt's who continue to go above and beyond supporting Gaelic development for all our pupils, a massive thank you and well done to you guys too!!!
