👻🎃Halloween has arrived in Primary 1🎃👻

20th Oct 2018

Our classroom has turned into a spooky dungeon with lots of Halloween decorations, dress up clothes and scary props being introduced to our play.

The water has turned green and it along with the sand, has been taken over by big and small spiders, scary bats and glow in the dark skeletons. We have orange play dough with spooky cutters and we are using Halloween colours for painting. The children have loved dressing up in spooky outfits as well as using Halloween character puppets to act out shows in the puppet theatre.

Some children took time to practice writing some of the sounds and High Frequency words we have been learning.

In Number work, children used their Thinking Skills to investigate  how to sort a bowl of coloured beads by two different criteria. We discovered we could sort them firstly by colour and secondly by shape.
