Well done to our P6/7 pupils who took part in The Irish News Young News Readers Media Project. This six-to-eight-week literacy initiative, designed for Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils (ages 8–14), provides tailored weekly newspapers, educational resources, and engaging activities to support the development of critical thinking skills while exploring real-world news topics, including wellbeing.
Our pupils fully embraced the project and thoroughly enjoyed the range of activities provided. At the conclusion of the programme, each participant was awarded a certificate in recognition of their involvement and achievement.
