Local Community Attends CPR & Defib. Training

31st Jul 2023
Following the brilliantly successful fundraising campaign to raise funds for the installation of an external cabinet in which to hold the school's AED, we were delighted to have Aidan Early come to school on Thursday evening to deliver the CPR and Defib. training for members of the local football club, local community and of course parents/guardians of the school.

Thanks to the support of the entire community, we were able to deliver the training to 16 people and everyone was delighted to be able to attend this worthwhile event. We all hope and pray that we may never need to rely on this training but should the need ever arise, then the Defib. is now available to the public 24/7, 365 days a year.

The device has been installed to the right hand-side of the canteen wall and it is now fully accessible simply by opening the school gates by hand. Whilst the access code is available by dialling 999, we want to take this opportunity to share the code with you so that it may speed up access if ever required outside of school hours.

In sharing the access PIN with you in this message, we trust that it will be stored safely and only ever used when in genuine need. The code is C159X  and we strongly suggest that you add this to your phone devices as a new contact named 'SOPPS Defib - C159X'.

Yet again we want to thank everyone who donated to our fundraising campaign and we hope and pray that it is never needed for many many years to come!

Go raibh maith agaibh.
