P1 pupils enjoyed being able to show cubes to represent different numbers. We decided to make the numbers 1-5 and we discovered that they looked like stairs.
We also used cards with the numbers 0-5 on them and pupils counted out the correct number of objects to match the number on each card.
Finally, pupils used Cuisenaire and Numicon to further investigate making and ordering the numbers 1-5.
