New Sensory Room and Chill-Out Zone
✨ Transforming Our School: Help Us Build Our New Sensory Room & Chill-Out Zone! ✨
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have some incredibly exciting news to share! Inspired by the fantastic feedback from our School Council during Mental Health Week, we are officially creating a dedicated Sensory Room and Chill-Out Zone in school. This space will provide a vital, calming environment to support our pupils with their social and emotional regulation.
Over the last week we have commissioned a specialist artist to create a stunning, custom ultraviolet forest mural that transforms the room into a magical, glowing sanctuary when the blacklights are on!
Take a look at the incredible mural in the images below.
🌟 How You Can Help!
Now that the artwork is finished, we need to fill the space with the sensory items, seating and calming tools that will bring it to life for our children.
To make this happen, we have set up an Amazon Wishlist featuring various items chosen specifically to support emotional regulation, including soft seating, tactile toys and specialized lighting.
If you would like to support this project and donate an item, you can view our wishlist here:

Every single donation, big or small, will directly impact our pupils' well-being and give them a safe space to reset when they need it most.
Thank you so much to our School Council for the brilliant idea, and to our wonderful school community for your ongoing support in making St. Oliver Plunkett's a nurturing environment for every child.
