♻️ Our Eco-Committee present an Eco Assembly. ♻️
We would like to say a huge thank you to our Eco-Committee for leading a fantastic whole-school assembly. They clearly explained our school litter policy and showed helpful pictures of each bin and what they are used for. They reminded us how important it is to separate our rubbish so we can recycle paper and single-use plastic bottles, and they encouraged everyone to use reusable water bottles. The Eco-Committee also explained how fruit peels from class compost bins are emptied into the large outdoor compost bin, where they decompose and are later used for planting. They gave us excellent reminders about saving water by turning off taps, saving electricity by switching off lights and plugs, and conserving heat by closing doors. They also taught us how we can use collected rainwater from our water butts to water plants and clean outdoor equipment. We would also like to thank the Eco-Committee for creating informative posters using Pic-Collage, which are displayed on the Eco Notice Board, and for their daily hard work emptying the compost and paper bins from classrooms. They are doing an amazing job helping our school care for the environment.
