P.1 Continue On Their Learning Journey

14th Nov 2018

P.1 pupils have been carrying out activities to help consolidate letter and number formation. They have been using mathematical equipment to demonstrate different ways of representing the numbers 1-5. Pupils are thoroughly enjoying using iPads to complete RM Easimaths and Lexia activities. Pupils also received reading books this week. They are working very hard.

During play, the children continue to build constructions with blocks. They also have been making imaginative pictures in the Creative Area. We have a new ‘Dark Den’ area in our classroom to coincide with our new topic, Day, Night, Colour and Light. In the Dark Den, children are exploring light from different size and coloured torches. They have been shining the light through a colander to ‘make stars’ on the roof of the Dark Den. Pupils have been taking on the roles of shop keepers and customers in our School Shop. They have been putting the shopping in their trolleys and paying for their items using pennies.

Congratualtions to Aimee who won Player of the Week at the Burn’s After School Football.

We hope you enjoy looking at our pictures.
