P6/7 took part in a science and technology day facilitated by James Connor from Sentinus. The children made a balloon powered car which they then converted to an electric powered car by adding an electric motor.
James then taught the children to make a generator which produced the electric to power their cars. They learned a lot of physics during the day including how planes use Newton’s Third Law as the means by which a jet engine propels the plane during take off.
