On a snowy Tuesday, on the 19th January 2018, Primary 1 and 2 pupils had their second visit to Derryhale Primary School. The pupils enjoyed seeing the new friends they made on our previous trip. The first day we met Tom from the Early Years Media Initiative. This time we got to meet Kim. Kim's grandparents sent her a kite from Hong Kong for her birthday. She took it to the park but none of the other boys and girls played with Kim. When her beautiful kite got stuck in a tree and the other boys and girls helped her get it down and the children then played happily together.
We used the idea of a kite building friendships to design our own friendship kites. Children from both schools were split into groups and we designed six beautiful kites to display between the two schools.
We had a wonderful day
