Relax Kids in Primary 1

15th May 2026

Our Primary 1 children have been delighted to welcome Mary from Relax Kids into their classroom each Friday morning. These sessions provide a calm and nurturing space where the children are developing important skills to support their emotional wellbeing.

Through a range of engaging and age-appropriate activities, the children are learning how to regulate their emotions and begin to recognise, explain, and understand their feelings. This work is helping them to build strong foundations for positive mental health and resilience.

A key focus of the sessions is empowerment. The children are encouraged to recognise their own strengths, build confidence, and appreciate just how unique and amazing each one of them is.

Mary introduces a “rainbow” of activities that stimulate the children’s senses and imagination. Through movement, mindfulness, storytelling, and creative play, the children explore different ways to express themselves and connect with their feelings in a safe and supportive environment.

We are very proud of the enthusiasm our Primary 1 pupils show during these sessions and the positive impact they are already having on their confidence and emotional awareness.
