Despite what was initially quite a blowy and windy day, we were able to enjoy a brilliant sports day in school where every single boy and girl spent their day outside taking part in inclusive multi-sport themed activities before enjoying their dinner and lunches ‘al-fresco’ style in the lovely warm sunshine of the mid afternoon. We are very grateful to the Davitt’s and Coach James for being there on the day to help us out and also to HealthyKidz who supplied two coaches to add extra helping hands. After lunch the children were thrilled to be treated to a delicious ice-cream treat and our P6 and P7 leaders were especially excited to be able to order slushies or ice-cream as a thanks for their help with leading and guiding our younger pupils throughout the day. Our KS1 and KS2 pupils started their competitive events in the late afternoon and these will run into next where we will get them all completed.
